Welcome to 1st Warners Bay Scouts
It is great that you are making the decision to have your child join the Scouting Movement. 1st Warners Bay Scout Group is a great choice. We are an active group catering for every section of scouting from Joeys, Cubs, Scouts & Venturers through to Rovers who operate from our grounds. All the relevant documentation is attached and a brief interview will be arranged for you to go through the papers with myself or the Section Leader.
Your child will then attend their section meetings for 4‐6 weeks before being “invested” ‐ when they will get the badges and scarf for the uniform. During that time, they will gain an understanding of the Scout Law & Promise and how their Section operates. Parents are usually advised of the “Investiture Ceremony”, so you can organise a shirt and be present and photos can be taken. Please be aware that the Y1 and M5 forms need to be completed, as well as insurance and enrolment fees to be paid for, before the investiture can take place.
Your child will discover that Scouts DO THEIR BEST to live by the SCOUT LAW & PROMISE, and that our group sectional programs run by our leaders are second to none. …
