Camp Gear List

  1. Youth members must pack their own bag.
  2. All gear listed needs to be marked with members name.
  3. Any medicines (except puffers) MUST BE LABELLED with instructions & given to Leader before parents/carers leave.
  4. UNIFORM MUST BE WORN TO & FROM CAMP (unless told different)
General items needed for all camps
  • Coathanger for uniform
  • Torch (small)
  • LARGE PLASTIC BAG FOR WET/DIRTY CLOTHES
  • Small day pack
Sleeping items
  • Sleeping bag (inner liner is a great idea in colder months)
  • Small Pillow
  • Bed Roll
  • Camp Stretcher (only if requested – usually for longer camps)
Mess kit
  • Dinner plate
  • Bowl
  • Knife, fork, & spoon
  • Mug with handle
  • 2 Tea towels
  • 1 water bottle

All unbreakable, in a cotton drawstring dilly bag (available from the group)

Toiletry & Personal items
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Comb or brush
  • Bath towel & Face cloth
  • Tissues
  • Roll on sunscreen
  • Roll on insect repellent
  • Roll on deodorant (if required)
Clothing
  • 2 old shirts (with collar)
  • 2 pairs of shorts
  • 1 pair of jeans or long trousers (+ trackies in winter)
  • Nightwear (doesn’t need to be pyjamas, just something comfortable to sleep in)
  • 1 Jumper or jacket (2 in winter)
  • 1 RAIN COAT (a hoodie will not keep you dry!)
  • 1 pair of shoes e.g. Sandshoes, joggers.
  • 2 changes of underclothes
  • 2 changes of socks
  • 1 camp hat is to be worn at all times (no hat no activity)
  • 1 beanie (in winter)
For water activities
  • Boardies / swimmers
  • Rash shirt
  • Water shoes
  • Extra towel
NOT PERMITTED AT CAMP
  • MOBILE PHONES
  • Pocket knife, electronic games/radio etc
  • Aerosol cans
  • Lollies, chips etc
  • Sleeveless tops
  • Shoes where part of the feet can be seen
  • Bad manners & grumpy faces
